Sleep Deprivation Experiment

Geek Fest '05 (aka the LAN party) was a success. We had 7 people present, and there was much UT2004 goodness to be had. I actually got to bust out the Battlefield 1942, which I haven't played for a good long while. It came down to the wire due to financial reasons, but I managed to find a place that would overnight my new computer in time for the party. I got the components at ~11:30 AM on Saturday and was playing by 6:00 PM. Not too bad. I only received one video card, as the other was on back-order, but even so, the single 6600GT performed very well. I was averaging about 85 fps in UT2004 @ 1280x1024 with everything cranked. I even got a free copy of Doom 3, but I'll probably never play it for reasons I've discussed before.

Anyway, even though I'm fatigued beyond repair, I'm jonesing for more LAN action. I pine for the days when this was a frequent occurance.
